Chinese Occupation In China Films

Postby Pete Senior » Sun Jan 27, 2013 4:06 pm

Its obvious to me the Chinese and Japanese never saw eye-to-eye in terms of the brutal invasion of Japan in China.

Some interesting films were made showing such a fierce resistance by the Chinese. Perhaps we can help to identify the 70-tis batch of great classics resisting Japanese occupation.

Here is one of my most cherished 70-tis epic.
Rage of Wind

Yasuaki Kurata plays the usual Japanese tyrannic boss |:o

and guess what his side kick is Someno Yukio a Japanese born screen villain.

Here he is Someno Yukio in this still bottom right hand corner with Chan Singh.

Tiger 1972, with yasuaki Kurata , Kang Kai and Sun Chia Lin; a very good one.

If I'm not mistaken, perhaps that Beauty Heroine is one of these movies, too.

The champion of the boxers, with Cheung Ching ching and Tien Peng.

The screaming ninja, with Wang Yu and Cheung Ching Ching.

Seven indignant, with Kang Kai.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot of other ones...

That's right, I forgot this one, a very good one, indeed.

There's also Beach of the war gods, if I'm not mistaken.

And also one with Angela Mao ; isn't it When Tae Kwon Do strikes ? Unless I'm mistaken and this one talks about the Japanese occupation of Korea ? Talking about this occupation, there is also The crush which is very good, but it's not related to your post...

Even if it's not a 70's movies, Fist of legend is also a good one showing the Chinese resistance against the Japanese.

Secret Agent Chung King no 1 (with Kwan Shan), Golden rose (with Li Lihua), Squadron 77 (still Li Lihua)and An army of one hundred thousand men (with Yang Kwan)are also on the same subject.
