How are FLK members?

Postby KeungKau » Sun Mar 23, 2014 2:35 am

Hi FLK ,

I\'ve noticed posting has been a bit sparse lately;*O

Hope all members are in good health ^_^

Currently I still have a
few films collecting dust on my to watch list pile!

Brave Archer 3 & 4
Canton Iron Kung Fu
Confucious
Raise The Red Latern
Sympathy For Mr Vengence
Star Runner
Princess and seven
kung fu masters

Since joining the forum
I\'ve certainly learnt abit more about the genre from members recommendations and
I\'ve even accrued a few new films but definitely still have much to learn :)

Big up FLK and all members |:o

These days everyone seems busy. I\'ll be around until they are no more rarekungfu and as far as I see from what Toby Russell tells me, much more to see.

Personally I\'ve lost a bit of enthusiasm for Fu film & I\'ve not been in the mood to watch them which means I don\'t think about them as much as I use to meaning thoughts of post don\'t come into my head so often.

Hi Venomsfreak ,
I managed to watch
Brave Archer3 there was less action than the previous film and everything seemes to be building up to the final denouement with the Iron Palm Clan
I cheered when Fu Sheng killed Lo Meng that was fantastic |:o

Silver&Gold
I understand mate I go through some lulls now and again recently I lent my friend some Hong Kong films so I can talk to him about them and see him get hyped!

So far I given him what I would call a Starter pack lol

Profile In Anger
School on Fire
Prison On Fire 1&2
Long Arm of the law
Beast cops
Chinatown Kid(celestial)

those are the films he has watched so far and his feedback has been really great and it is nice to talk to him about what he liked.
Once he returned those to me I\'ve given him a few more to watch

Law With two phases
Winners & Sinners
legend of the dragon
The Best Of The Best
(JackyCheung)
Rock n Roll Cop
Girls without tomorrow 88
The Return Of Five Deadly venoms (Dubbed)
Runaway Blues
Lee Rock 1 & 2

As PeteSr mentioned there are plently of films left to watch and its only the tip of the iceberg.

I enjoy reading all the members posts here sharing love for there favourite films.

FLK is a great resource for learning about
HongKong/Kung Fu cinema

well I have to say I don\'t watch kung fu movies like I used too when I was younger but don\'t get me wrong I will always have a strong passion for kung fu and the movies it just seems nothing is being released that I want to see it like there either bootlegs or just not getting a legit release or impossible to find but I still love watching kung fu flicks

peace to all the flk forum members |:o

I think FLK is the last of outlets that sell rarekungfu. There are no more kung fu releases to be released mainstream anymore. When we eventually close most of our projects will become collectors items I assure you. Buy them whilst you can now before FLK is closed down.

Sadly we may have to close. I have no one to run FLK these days and I\'m very busy myself, hence I may have to close down FLK very soon.
Not entirely sure when though.

Excellent choices there my friend! School on Fire & Long Arm of the law are 2 of the best 80s HK films ever released IMO.

It would be a pity to see FLK go, although I would completely understand the decision behind it. Really not enough vibrancy in the community and scene anymore and the lack of quality releases or anything to look forward to doesn\'t help. Having said that, there are still plenty of rare prints popping up in trade circles so all is not lost.
