I watched EASTERN CONDORS I've been meaning to watch it since Feb last year. I guess this is one of those films that I appreciate after a few watches same happened to me when watching HEART OF THE DRAGON I watched both around a time when if it wasn't a HK/Taiwanese MA film then it was almost no good & shapes where preferable & more drama like wasn't that great as well not really liking guns in a MA film but now in some ways I appreciate them more for trying to blend the drama & the action well.

I reckon the final fight in
Eastern Condors was great between
Yuen Wah,Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung

Heart of The Dragon recieved lots of nominations at the Hong Kong film awards it has a strong story which I guess justifies the action

it has a good supporting cast in it too excluding Jackie & Sammo

Yuen Wah , Tai Bo , Chung Fat , Meng Hoi , ubiqitious bad guy
Dick Wei ,Lam Ching-Ying ,
Philip Ko , James Tien,
Melvin Wong and a cameo from
Chiu Chi Ling
(blink and your miss it)

I remember watching it on an old dubbed 80's VHS and then the Cantonese version on DVD call me sentimental I found it quite moving the first time round :|(

Silver & Gold Dragon
I also showed Heart of The Dragon to my mum back in the day and
she could appreciate it,
People who are not necessarily into martial art/kung fu films.
Probably will like it I spoken to people who said they liked it but weren't what you would call
'genre fans'

On another note I bought
Shaolin Marital Arts today on VCD
with a very youthful almost unrecognisable beardy in it & apparently Gordon Liu's first film?

There was a preview for a film
The New Shaolin Boxers
with Fu Sheng it looked wicked
definitely going on my wish list |:o

Everytime I'm always discovering new films I see more films that look interesting.
The Savage 5 and Rebel Intruders were on sale today?

Are they decent?

The savage five has David Chiang and Chen Kuan Tai in it, very good martial arts.

The rebel intruders has The venoms in it and is full of twists and very good martial arts too, so, you shouldn't be too disappointed if you buy these movies...

This week I watched on
Monday: THE MAGNIFICENT RUFFIANS enjoyable Venoms film.
Tuesday: JUST HEROES been meaning to watch more Heroic Gun/bloodshed & this one in particular cos of the Shaw Stars in it.
(today) Wednesday: HONG KONG GODFATHER really enjoyed haven't seen Beardy that intense since THE THUNDERING MANTIS perhaps he was the Thundering Blade in that lol. Talking of the blades I liked how they used the knives it feel a bit like the knives where what would have been guns or hand to hand combat in other triad films.

I watched the real Bruce Lee and Women of Kung Fu. Skinny Tiger and Fat Dragon. I rented them from Netflix. Who knew they would have Kung Fu films.
