Since my last post I've watched:
PROJECT A it was nice to it again as it's been a while & was one of the first HK films I saw & was my introduction to Sammo & Yuen Biao.
RETURN TO THE 36TH CHAMBER not as good as the 1st but still good got love that Scaffolding Kung Fu.
& couple of non-Kung Fu ICE AGE 4 watched this one with my Sister it was ok.
K-PAX I enjoyed this one quite a bit my Mum suggested to me as I've recently become interested in Astronomy as it about a man who claims to be from out of space.
then a Sammo Saturday & Sunday
GAMBLING GHOST interesting seeing Sammo play three roles & the little bit of action was quite good.
THE OWL VS DUMBO found the plot of this one quite odd I was a bit tied at the time "but still" it was some along the lines of a couple of thieves are forced by a cop to give careers advice to some disinterested youths I guess Criminals working with was not a big deal back then & then some triads from the get involved & go after some of the youths to get to OWL & DUMBO then theres end fight with Sammo, George Lam & the youths on bikes with baseball bats oh & Sammo does a dance routine in the middle. Well the bit I don't is to get Criminals to give careers advice?
TOUCH AND GO decent action drama.
PEDICAB DRIVER decent action drama like the opening very creative & great to see Sammo vs Liu Chia Liang.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend? Did anyone else get a chance to watch anything this weekend?

Fist of the Red Dragon.
Starring:
Donnie Yen as Beggar So
Wong Yuk as Wong Fei Hung

This is no classic nor is it a dud!
It's not a bad way to kill 90 mins.
Donnie and Wong do not let the audience down, their martial arts prowess really impress. Give it a viewing, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Incredible Kung Fu Mission. The body count is high, Robert Tai is one bad ass villian, and John Lui kicks the evil away.

Flying Dagger (1993)
Starring:
Tony Leung...Big Dagger Hon Cheung
Jacky Cheung...Nine Tail Fox
Jimmy Lin...Little Dagger Hon Lam
Sharla Cheung Man...Big Bewitchment
Maggie Cheung...Flying Cat

Storyline:
The well-known "Flying Dagger" Chung and his nephew Lam lived on rewards
from apprehending bandits. Chung refused the love of "Great Coquette"
Lady Fung. Therefore, Fung always mess up Chung's business for revenge.
Flying Fox, the country's number one bandit, had stolen the millionaire
Tsao's evidence of being a traitor. Hence, Tsao employed Chung to catch
the bandit. Flying Fox's wife, Flying Cat seduced Chung to save her husband,
which caused jealousy and a severe fight with Fung. Meanwhile Lam was
kidnapped by Tsao. Chung and Fung finally realized that Tsao was the head
of East Wing. They united together to beat against Tsaoâ?¦..
[from the Mei Ah DVD] In this quintessential "makes no sense" comedy,
Jackie Cheung plays a farting forest bandit. Maggie Cheung is
a flying catwoman, and Tony Leung turns green from a magic potion.

Village of crouching tigers ; very good fights. Shows how the inhabitants of a small village fight the Japanese who want to control the village with the help of the magistrate of the vilage.

The best Samaritan : funny comedy with O Chun Hung.

Blood reincarntation : a good performance of Yan Kwan.

Lady in the moon : good fantasy/action movie with Loh Ti.

Liu Hai meets fairies :good fantasy/action movie.

Tung Xiao Wan : very good historical drama with Kao Yuen.

These last few days, I'm " swimming " in old Cantonese movies and here is what I already watched :

A mad woman

Apartment murder : very good action movie in which 3 women investigate in order to find who have killed their friend.

The portfolio : a very short China movie in which 3 children investigate in order to find who has stolen the portfolio of the father of one of them, in which were some secret documents.

Magic crane and golden eagle

Ghost hero aka The mysterious heroine

Claws of horror aka White hair fairy : Shih Kien is as evil as he uses to be in all these old movies.

In the palace

Five heroes' deadly spears

The story of Wong Un the heroine : 3 women fight against Shih Kien, here again playing an evil bandit.

A myriad homes : with young Bruce Lee

An orphan's song : idem

Competing heroes 1&2 : very good martial arts with a lot of fantasy elements.

The tiger in hunting : good martial arts movie too.

Hunting for the murderer : good action movie.

The conquering sword
7 fights with 9 tail fox
The breakthrough 1961 : good fights with the same heroines as in Apartment murder.
Blood stains the iron fist
Golden skeleton : a kind of James Bond movie with a lot of gadgets and good fights.
Ying Ku : good historical action movie telling the story of the heroine Huang Ying Ku.
Shanghai adventure : nothing interesting in this movie, except some gags.
