Thanks for the recommendations Hard Boiled was just what I was looking for & more
Did really like Full Contact
City on Fire was pretty good
Bullet in the Head is on my next to watch
watch the more comedy style Once a Thief that was ok
I'm also playing John Woo Presents: StrangleHold video game the supposed sequel to Hard Boiled only the character of Tequila really follows the original story but in game action is good.

I always liked Chow Yun Fat, but was never a "huge" fan of his, until I watched A Better Tomorrow.

For a sleeper Triad movie check out Rules of the Game with Louis Koo. Not great action, but Koo gives a TOP notch acting performance.

The Coolie Killer
Sworn Brothers
The Big Heat
Dragon Family
Hero Of Tomorrow
My Heart Is That Eternal Rose
Long Arm Of The Law III
A Moment Of Romance
Hong Kong Godfather (1991 version with Andy Lau, different movie)
The Last Blood (more of an all out action flick, but Andy Lau does play a triad)

Thanks that quite a list i'd thought about The Last Blood as the VHS title i've seen is Hard-Boiled 2: The Last Blood i guess this was a marketing thing but hope it's pretty similar.....

Jay Lee is that a Triad movie list or an Andy Lau movie listlol

Long Arm of the Law III is probably the best out of those, at least for action. It's the best fighting performance I've seen from Andy Lau, with Lucky Stars Go Places being a close second. Last Blood is a lot of fun. I don't think you'd be disappointed with that jrcma.

It's not, really. More of an action comedy, but with alot of really great action, gunplay, brutal violence, a bit of fighting and just a lot of fun to watch. That Hard Boiled 2 marketing ploy was just retarded. Think it was just in the UK, and since Last Blood came out a year before Hard Boiled, it couldn't really be a sequel, let alone a ripoff.

Just updated my review for it on hkflix, if you wanna check it out.

You can't really go wrong with any of the other titles either. I left out a bunch, that maybe only serves certain demographics. But these titles mentioned should please anyone, into either triad flicks or HK action in general.
