I'd love to see some 'femme fatale' lobbys cards! Yukari Oshima and Moon Lee especially!

Guys the reason they are called lobby cards is because during the cinema era, the cinema lobby's had these cards showing the next/present features in the cinema lobby....In the New Wave era cinema fans had no motivation to collect lobby cards I believe..... hence not may New Wave lobby's.....In all fairness to these cinema goers I don't blame them....:).....New Wave lobby's have no real classic costume wear to protrude the genre as being interesting:(

I have some promotion type cards but I wouldn't call them lobby's RB....I will try however and dig up what I can find to spice up the section a bit;)

Sorry RB I didn't mean to sound condescending nor pontificate my friend...It was something my father related to me about New Wave lobby's....He says during his time he saw very few lobby's for New wave and most of them were out on VHS tape as opposed to the cinema. Whereas the old classics were shown at the cinema in the 70's and loads of lobby's were available during this time.

you were not condescending at all. i missed that magic time of the genre when the boom was in full swing. the only lobbys i have are bruce lee lobbys so my knowledge of that subject is limited.

The funny thing is I watched all my Jackie Chan New wave favs on tape and when Newwave got hot it was mainly on VHS tapes with Jet Li's Tai Chi master and Donny Yen's Iron Monkey also, whereas my father saw The Chinese Boxer 1970, 10 Fingers Of Steel, One Arm Swordsman, Sacred knives and many more all at the cinema in the 70's...This is what you call the magic time of the genre my friend..

We started a Kung fu Cinema club in Brixton cinema in 1998 and it was great to see Dr Wai and Crippled Avengers on the big screen at a young age:)
