Pete - I have a wide print of this too, I wonder if it's possible to tell if it's cut or uncut by my description below?
It is English dubbed but also has Burnt English & Chinese subtitles. A logo with the letters 'DV' are also on screen. The print runs for exactly 84 minutes PAL.
Do you have any idea how complete this version would be at all mate?
Thanks in advance!

That's good news Pete, I'm happy about that then!
Many thanks for confirming mate.

I took my time about it but I just checked to see if my widescreen version contains the scene that you described above Pete.
But...I reckon mine is cut too. Right at the end whilst Sze Ma Lung is fighting Tung Wei, the Monk leads the 3 lackeys to a patch of bamboo sticks. One of the lackeys jumps into the sticks and there's a brief shot of him being impaled. After that it cuts back to Shaking Eagle v Tung Wei, you dont see the other two die. Seems like an odd cut considering some of the other fairly brutal deaths (e.g. the final 10-15 seconds of the film!).
Does that sound cut Pete?

Thanks for the info Pete. I couldn't see any other obvious cuts in my print so whatever the actual cuts are, they didn't really ruin my enjoyment of the film. Despite some comedy nonsense in the first half, this is definitely a wicked film. Sze Ma Lung deserves Hall of Fame status for his role here.

Ive got a dutch WS print with dutch subs with the same scene as you describe polly.
This movie is awesome though. Watched it last night and remembered this thread and had to comment.
Would you guys agree with me when I say that maby there was a bit to much comedy and a little to little scenes with Chiang Long Wen vs Sze Ma Lung? It was pretty cool that Chung Tin got some screentime doing fights though!
