If you look at the cover there is a seen where Shih Chung Tin the lacky on the right hand side of the above cover. No sign of how he dies only the Dutch English print has Shih Chung Tin death and also the Sub print too.The German version is slaughtered with cuts...the South African print is cut also..Ground Zero print CUT!!! The only uncut is the Dutch with dutch subs of course.

If you have a wide print we need to know its origin and I can tell you whats cut!!! It may be someone dubbed a wide print or something just guessing.

Pete - I have a wide print of this too, I wonder if it's possible to tell if it's cut or uncut by my description below?

It is English dubbed but also has Burnt English & Chinese subtitles. A logo with the letters 'DV' are also on screen. The print runs for exactly 84 minutes PAL.

Do you have any idea how complete this version would be at all mate?

Thanks in advance!

The UNCUT should run for about 84 minutes my friend I should imagine the version you have is UNCUT!!! and it seems to me someone dubbed the sub print my friend. I think you are OK with that print Polly.

This thread should be in the CUT!!! section so I will move it over.

I took my time about it but I just checked to see if my widescreen version contains the scene that you described above Pete.

But...I reckon mine is cut too. Right at the end whilst Sze Ma Lung is fighting Tung Wei, the Monk leads the 3 lackeys to a patch of bamboo sticks. One of the lackeys jumps into the sticks and there's a brief shot of him being impaled. After that it cuts back to Shaking Eagle v Tung Wei, you dont see the other two die. Seems like an odd cut considering some of the other fairly brutal deaths (e.g. the final 10-15 seconds of the film!).

Does that sound cut Pete?
