Just picking up this old thread as I too am a huge fan of kaiju, especially Godzilla flicks!
My top ten Godzilla flicks are:
1. Mothra Vs Godzilla (1964)
2. Godzilla (1954)
3. Godzilla Vs Biollante (1989)
4. Ghidorah The Three Headed Monster (1964)
5. Godzilla Vs Destroyah (1995)
6. Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965)
7. Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla (1974)
8. Destroy All Monsters (1968)
9. Godzilla Vs Mothra (1992)
10. Godzilla: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001)
I love anything by Ishiro Honda though; The Mysterians, Battle in Outer Space, Rodan, Mothra, Dogoraâ?¦
â?¦and letâ??s not forget this masterpiece...
The best Of The Best is King Kong Vs Godzilla.....Awesome movie
Yeah, that's a good one, it's probably the rarest of the Godzilla films actually, I had trouble trying to obtain a copy of the original Japanese version.
The international version is widely available but is really terrible, the most re-edited of all the Godzilla movies.

On the 20th this month I would have touched the age 55 years. I can assure I was a vivid fan of all the Godzilla films.
Godzilla was always good fun to watch, as a young toddler. To this day, I would watch them with my grand children for pure fun and entertainment.
I remember them all very clearly, back in my youth and I past on the craze, to my children.
Is the one your talking about the release from Toho? (now oop) I have a dvd-r of the theatrical releases from toho w/ custom subs and I am always looking to upgrade if such a thing exists.
I don't think it's an 'official' release, but the picture and sound quality is superb along with very good subs.
