Azumi is on the TV tonight and the clips running during the commercials have made me think about maby watching it? Is it any good though? From what I knew about it before it seemed pretty cool, but the people writing the reviews for the papers wasnt that excited it seems. You cant always trust those people though as most of us probably already know. Have anybody of you members watched it?

The action seemed pretty wicked judging by the commercial mate. Its also a plus if the ladies are nice, good to know.

I think I just might watch it then Whirlwind, thanks for your opinions about it mate.

I know there is a sequal to this movie, do you know if its any good then?

The sequal is not as good as the first film but its OK, the leading lady is a super hottie and does a decent job of the action scenes. I like the main villain in white who carries the rose with him, proper cool.

i first seen this film maybe about 03/04 and i was blown away by this film. there was no big hype or anything like that so it was a nice surprise. i don't like when films are overhyped so i enjoyed this film from first impression. japanese never stopped making good films its a credit to their cinema.

Ryuhei Kitamura has always had an enormous amount of hype following everything he eeks out, at least in America, where everybody and their brother has been a fan of the guy since Versus.

I think Azumi is one of his more amusing movies, since it's not quite as low budget and ugly as a few of his other films are, and the action is classic slice and dice fun. The sequel isn't that good though, I agree.

Started watching it last night but missed the beginning of it and then fell asleep....... not because it seemed bad but because it was shown pretty late and I had been working all day. The parts I watched from the movie seemed pretty good though.

Azumi sounds like a good film, but I've never tried to watch it.:)
