Rumble in the Bronx oh not rare you say ;)

Postby gfanikf1 » Fri Jun 24, 2005 3:46 pm

I through pure luck got a vcd of Rumble in the Bronx that contains what no other release of it has. An uncut running time, original synch sound audio, correct aspect ratio, and best of yet English subs. Now there are uncut subed releases of rumble but they are all dubbed in Mandarian. I got the VCD from US Yeasia who sent me a vcd with a US running time but I decided to watch it one day and it was the uncut copy. There are apparently two versions a cut (current) and uncut one (from 2000) and many who have ordered it have got the cut version. So I think thats quite rare

I sent a copy to Bently2005 who did the Warriors 2 correct version (original mono and original GH dub) who is gonig to copy to the subs and use an unsubbed ChinaStar DVD (which is all of the above but unsubbed as a master).

Its not going to be rare soon but it will be so nice for people to see the uncut flick that many years ago first got me into the martial arts (still I also like the American version which is what got me into this in the first place)

I liked Rumble but its probably a bit too commercial for this kind of site forum gfanikf...

I loved the opening scene with the wooden dummy....

I think Rumble in the Bronx is a pretty cool movie. I like the atmosphere in it, but Im not sure it really conveys an accurate picture of the difficulties the Chinese encounter when settling in the US.

I like this movie a lot and I've been trying to find the uncut version with correct audio and english subs, which seems to be impossible! If this becomes available I'm very interested!

does your RITB have the kissing scene and the few other scenes cut from the HK/China/US release?

The DVD I grabbed in Taiwan (Beauty) has them in there, I dont think I mentioned that to you before cuz I just watched it like last week for the first time.

The Taiwan Beauty DVD I have, clocks in at 101 min and I think the US version is 91 or 94 min off the top of my head. Mine has the kissing scene where Jackie kisses the kids sister gang member girlie in front of the store owner lady. Names elude me at the moment.

Francise (sP) Yip I know because Uwe Boll mentions her in his Alone in the Dark Commentary
