The Protector (Jackie Chan re-edited version)

Just wondering, is the version of \'The Protector\', available here on FLK, the Jackie Chan re-edited version by any chance? Has anyone else seen this version? It\'s no classic by any means but far superior to the original version and a must have for Jackie fans! Up until recently it was quite rare....

Capoeira

Anyone else a fan of capoeira or even practices it? I became fascinated with it ever since I saw the 1993 film \'Only the Strong\' with Mark Dacascos. It\'s really mesmerising to watch and some of the moves seem to defy gravity! It\'s a shame there aren\'t more films based on it. There is an awesome...

Seagal\'s early films were cool - but then the formula kinda wore off!

In terms of movie entertainment, give me Van Damme any day!

I\'ve read that there\'s always been a bit of animosity between them. Seagal always comes across as a bit of an arrogant **** IMO! I can just imagine him disrespecting Van Damme like that!

But I wouldn\'t like to bet on the outcome of an actual fight!

This is interesting, I have the Taiwan version of Rumble on DVD (not great picture quality but just about watchable!), it is supposed to be uncut, but one scene is curiously missing - where Jackie and Francoise Yip escape from the nightclub and Francoise kicks over the gangs motobikes to stop them f...

I guess a passion for martial arts is an all-consuming one! My entry level was Jackie Chan, and then from Jackie the natural progression is of course the works of Sammo. Then as my interest grew I discovered Bruce, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Yuen Biao, Yuen Wo-ping, Corey Yuen and so on and so on. Then I r...
