Fung Hak On has sadly passed away.

One of the best bad guys of his time
I was only watching Outlaw Brothers the other day which he action directed

Hi Chi no I wasn't aware it was inspired from Once Upon a Time in the West. I really like Charles Bronson ( the actor ) Hard Times , The Great Escape and Death Wish are fun films to watch , I've not seen any Death Wish sequels or The Mechanic though.
